It has been 13 years since I first met the Portokalos family. 13 years. A decade plus three. I honestly can’t even believe that. When I first heard the rumors that My Big Fat Greek Wedding was planning on coming out with a sequel, I was so not expecting them to be true. But last week, the trailer was released, and I have never been so excited. Now, I get it. The new Star Wars movie is coming out next month and Mockingjay Part II is out this week, but I was so unbelievably happy to find out that MBFGW2 movie is coming out.

If you have never seen the first movie, I advise you find a way to get your hands on a copy and watch it immediately. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Between enjoying Toula’s awkward personality and admiring her family’s crazy wedding fanatics, you will not be able to get enough of the antics and chaos that creates a Greek-American family.

But now let’s get into the real reason we are here. The second trailer brought up important questions that everyone has been wondering since the 2002, or since they began reading this column. What is Ian and Toula’s daughter like? What does she think of her mother’s crazy family? Did anyone else name their child Nick? These are the things I need answered. The trailer reveals a surprising twist for fans of the original. I was aware that the writers and producers were going to make someone get married, but whose wedding it is; that’s the shocker. Either way, the Portokalos family has charmed their way into the hearts of many, including myself, and I am anxiously joining other fans in anticipation of the sequel, due to drop in theatres March 25, 2016.
