Two members from Wenatchee High School’s DECA chapter took home first-place titles at the International Conference held in Anaheim, California from April 25-30.

Wenatchee had a back to back International champion, senior Vivian Noyd, who placed first in School Based Enterprise Food Operations. Last year Noyd placed first place in Sports and Entertainment Business Operations Research. She has been a member of DECA all four years of her high school career. She is also the current Vice President of the Wenatchee chapter.

“It’s been such an honor to compete internationally for Wenatchee DECA for four years. I’m so proud to have ended my involvement in this amazing program on such a high note,” Noyd said.

Junior Colin Snyder also placed first in Sports and Entertainment Marketing Series. He has been a part of the DECA program for three years.

“DECA is one of those opportunities you get in high school where if you put in the work, it’ll pay off. Watching students from Wenatchee get rewarded after putting so much effort into their events is something I won’t ever forget. And for me, getting first in an event that I spent so much time prepping for was truly something special,” Snyder said.

Sophomores Luke Jobe and Mason Dalbeck placed in the top 10 in Sports and Entertainment Marketing Team Decision Making, junior Sebastian Passion placed in the top 20 in Principles of Marketing, junior Sophie Castillo placed in the top 20 in Marketing Communications, and junior Spencer Rickel placed in the top 20 in Personal Finance Literacy.
