The Grammy nominees have recently been announced, where they have the opportunity to be rewarded for their success in the music industry. The winners will be announced on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026.
For record of the year, the following have been nominated: “DtMF” by Bad Bunny, “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Anxiety” by Doechii, “WILDFLOWER” by Billie Eilish, “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga, “Luther” by Kendrick Lamar with SZA, “The Subway” by Chappell Roan and “APT.” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars.
Personally, I feel like anyone has potential to win this category, because of the popularity that has struck these artists; however, I think it could be Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny or Kendrick Lamar because they were all very popular this year.
For album of the year it is listed as: “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS” by Bad Bunny, “SWAG” by Justin Bieber, “Man’s Best Friend” by Sabrina Carpenter, “Let God Sort Em Out” by Clipse, Pusha T and Malice, “MAYHEM” by Lady Gaga, “GNX” by Kendrick Lamar, “MUTT” by Leon Thomas and “CHROMAKOPIA” by Tyler, The Creator.
Predictions wise, Bad Bunny, Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, The Creator all have high chances of winning, again because of the high popularity they have, especially with these albums this year. Additionally, Bad Bunny is even performing for the super bowl half time show, which gives him even more leverage for winning a grammy this year.
Song of the year the nominees are: “Abracadabra” by Lady Gaga, “Anxiety” by Jaylah Hickmon, “APT.” by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, “DtMF” by Bad Bunny, “Golden [From “KPop Demon Hunters”]” by HUNTR/X: EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI, “luther” by Kendrick Lamar and SZA, “Manchild” by Sabrina Carpenter, “WILDFLOWER” by Billie Eilish.
For this specific category, I don’t think “Golden” should win and the only reason why is I find anything from KPop Demon Hunters to be annoying. Also, I would like someone other than Kendrick Lamar to win because of the amount of recognition he already got last year.
Lastly, the best new artist nominees are: Olivia Dean, KATSEYE, The Marias, Addison Rae, sombr, Leon Thomas, Alex Warren and Lola Young.
Out of this whole list I think The Marias deserve to win the most. They have gained the recognition they deserve this year and I think it would be really cool if they won. On the other hand, I am not the biggest fan of sombr or Alex Warren and if they were to win I don’t believe it would be truly deserving, mainly because their music isn’t my style.
