The 68th annual Grammy awards took place on February 1st, 2026, hosted by Trevor Noah. The night featured some exciting awards like album of the year going to Bad Bunny, record of the year going to Kendrick Lamar featuring SZA and best new artist going to Olivia Dean. However, the only thing more eye-catching than those trophies, however, are the outfits strutting the carpet.
Starting on a low note, Jelly Roll’s outfit is a solid 1. The only point he gains from this is for wearing clothes to the ceremony at all. I’m really not sure why he and his team think it’s okay for him to wear pants dressed in wrinkles, a button up shirt and a black zip up he’s probably had since the 7th grade.
Up next we got Justin and Hailey Bieber. Now we’re not here to talk about their relationship so we’re gonna move past that. Their outfits get an 8 combined, mostly because of Hailey’s. Starting with Justin, I don’t understand the concept of men always wearing a plain black suit to every event. In this case however, Hailey is there and she completes his look. I do think that his suit is way too big, and it has me questioning what his team was thinking when doing those measurements. Now Hailey, however, is classy, sleek, divine. She is the A tier clean girl and she makes it known. Her dress fits perfectly and the neckline is flattering for her up-do. Again, with the jewelry, sleek, simple and classy.
Now, I know I said that men usually make the mistake of wearing a plain, black suit. However, it can be done right. Bad Bunny was a great example of this, so I’m giving him a 7. His suit fits nice, looks clean and has no wrinkles (Justin and Jelly take notes). Unfortunately he gets less points because there is much room for improvement.
Best new artist herself, Olivia Dean, gets a 10. Her dress is the perfect mix of classy, yet exciting. The detail on the top of her dress is perfection and I love the way it blends into the bottom. Her hair really polishes off the look, it’s perfectly set and the curls are perfect. Usually I would say that she’s missing some kind of necklace, but I think the look is great without one.
One of my least favorite of the looks this year has to go to Chappel Roan. Listen, I’m all for self confidence. But, this is just too much, so I give her a 3. Honestly, A for effort but the effort only counts when there’s a clear motive. Really the only motive I can see here is that she wanted to show it all off, and that’s fine, but there’s a time and a place.
Lastly, we got Lady Gaga. This look isn’t terrible, but nowhere close to good, earning a 4. It reminds me of Katnissis’s outfit from the hunger games before she gets sent off. I’m not sure what the appeal is of the feathers, especially up by her face, that’s gotta be itchy.
Overall, the outfits were okay. I think the men should take some notes and branch out past the classic black suit, and others should learn that there is a time and a place for certain clothing choices.
