Doner Haus — classic steak sandwich: The simplicity of a cheeseburger with the German creativity that makes it valid for a food fair. The “sandwich” is all the ingredients you will find in an ordinary philly steak sandwich (INCLUDING BACON) but with a taco format, which gives the consumer “eating on the run” capabilities. It simply is a quality all around meal that is perfect for parades, carnivals, and all of your Apple Blossom needs.

Yeero’s — gyro: Virtually the same thing as the Doner Haus sandwich, but it doesn’t have bacon, so it’s about 20 percent worse. I don’t know why it doesn’t have bacon, maybe there are no pigs in Greece. Don’t ask me. I don’t know.

Pennsylvania Dutch Funnel Cake — funnel cake: The classic food fair snack. It should be illegal to let the food fair come and go without buying one, or two, or 10 of these treats, depending upon your dietary restrictions, considering it is pretty much 50 percent sugar. The bakers in this workshop should really be considered modern day artists, so don’t let their contributions to this community go unnoticed. Buy a funnel cake because that’s what food fairs are for.

YC Vietnamese — stir fried noodles: This dish delivers the classic authentic tastes of the Vietnamese community, which sadly, is a very rare thing to find in Wenatchee. Go to this cart for an adventure through the center of the earth, but don’t worry, it won’t go right through YOU like China Express does.

Kaleenka — piroshky: This is a dinner style “zombie” (a roll filled with many different substances). It has an odd taste to it that everyone should experience in their lifetime, but it may not be a good experience. It comes with that McDonald’s feeling, you know? It tastes good, but you definitely shouldn’t boast that you just ate it, because it can’t be good for you. It is simply ground beef and cheese in a roll, and it tastes exactly how it sounds. But, it’s not an experience you should let get away from you, because it’s simply an adventure for the mouth (which will later become a battle for the stomach).
