Wenatchee High School will be adding a new face to the administration team for the 2016-17 school year. Jacob Bucholz will be the new Dean of Students working alongside the current Dean of Students, BJ Kuntz.

“We have made the decision to change our administrative structure and feel we are in need of a second dean of students instead of another assistant principal,” WHS Principal Eric Anderson. “So long story short, the new dean position replaces our assistant principal position.”

Bucholz heard of the job opening through a posting on the Wenatchee School District website. “I chose to apply because it was a great opportunity to work with and support students and families on a different level with different goals in mind,” Bucholz said.

“He will work to support overall student success,” Anderson said. “He will work alongside students with attendance related issues as well as academic struggles.”

Bucholz will be introduced at an upcoming staff meeting and he will be in the building a couple days this spring. “I look forward to building relationships with the staff and students, and I am excited about the opportunity to work with the team at WHS to support students in achieving their individual goals for high school and beyond,” Bucholz said.
