The Golden Apple Band concluded its field competition season Nov. 9. The band took third place overall in Auburn.

“They [the students] improved from our first competition in Kennewick,” said Director Jim Kovach. “The improvement this season came from the dedication and work of the students.”

The band placed second in its division and placed first in the parade section of the competition.

“I feel we improved quite drastically and did quite well,” said sophomore Kevin Wilson.

The GA Band practiced Mondays and Thursdays prior to the field show competitions.

“Mr. Kovach motivates us to do our best and practice hard,” said Wilson. “We work as a team, we help each other.”
